Did you ever get a plane load of Flaherty’s to go to Ireland?!!! I visited your place in NO in the spring of 2005, just before Katrina. When I was there since my last name is Flaherty, I was approached about the trip and was given information about it. If it’s still ‘on” I may be interested. Can you let me know? Thanks

Danny you won’t remember me but I met you when John Phillips from Kansas City took us to your bar a long long time ago. If you haven’t heard John passed away earlier this year.

We had a wonderful time and the only way you might remember my high ass is I ask you boys if you were part of the IRA.

Hi Danny, I remember you coming up and doing a few tunes with Paul and I at the John Barleycorn years ago. I also remember being surprised when you invited me up at your pub to do a few. So sad that your magical place was destroyed, happy that you and yours survived.

O’Flaherty’s Irish Pub, was near and dear to our hearts. My dearest friend Melissa and her Husband Tommy, and I and my husband, would go as often as possible to New Orleans just to go to O’Flaherty’s. When my grandson was born with major heart defects, and his parents were booked into the Ronald McDonald House, we would travel, from Texas, to get them out of the house – to O’Flaherty’s. It was our home away from home, our life line in a time of sadness and joy as the grandson lives on. Got to know Danny, and whenever he did a concert in Beaumont or Orange – we four were there. He remembered our faces and our names, and always made us feel a part. A very Special Place, and a very Special Man!

It was either in the late 80’s or early 90’s that my husband had a conference in New Orleans. At that time the only way we could afford to travel was when he would have a conference and I would go along. Of course my husband whose name was Michael McCann would find an Irish pub in the city of Traditional Jazz and Cajun music. I am of French Canadian descent. We went to O’Flaherty’s Pub at least 3 times that week. In the courtyard was the first time we had ever heard of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann . I was mesmerized by the music. When we got home I joined the local Comhaltas chapter. I will always remember fondly my trip to NOLA.
